About
Background
I'm an IT professional with 14+ years of experience spanning web development, technical support, networking, and cloud infrastructure. My career has covered both sides of IT — building and maintaining client websites on stacks like Ruby on Rails, while also delivering hands-on support across hardware, Microsoft 365 environments, Windows Server, and network infrastructure.
On the development side, I've worked across the full stack — from static marketing sites to dynamic Ruby on Rails applications with content management, e-commerce, and API integrations. On the support side, I've managed office-wide IT transformations including virtualised environment migrations, hardware refreshes, and network overhauls for SMB clients.
More recently I've leaned into AI-assisted development, using Claude Code and Cursor IDE in day-to-day projects to accelerate delivery and improve output quality. This portfolio itself was built with the help of this AI-assisted tooling. I'm looking to move into roles where practical experience applying LLMs to real workflows adds immediate value.
Outside of work I am learning about new technologies, gaming, modding games, listening to heavy music, learning about history, and tinkering with my home lab.
